TicketingHub is an online booking management platform popular with tour operators, attractions, and activity providers looking to manage high-volume ticket sales.
Founded in 2012, TicketingHub uses a “pay only for what you sell” model: no monthly subscription, just a 3% fee on every booking.
On the surface, that sounds simple. But as booking volume grows, that 3% can add up quickly, especially since it applies to every reservation, including both online and offline bookings. There are also extra fees operators should be aware of before buying in.
So we put together this guide to break down everything you need to know about TicketingHub’s pricing before you commit. We’ll cover:
- A full TicketingHub pricing breakdown
- A TicketingHub product overview with features & user reviews
- A Bókun vs. TicketingHub comparison
We’re Bókun, a Tripadvisor brand and all-in-one tour operator software with the lowest booking fees in the industry. We charge 1.5% on online bookings, 0% on Viator reservations, and nothing on offline bookings — all for a $49/month subscription.
We’ll be upfront about where TicketingHub shines and where Bókun offers better value so you can make the right call for your business.
TicketingHub Pricing Breakdown
Before diving in, a quick note on how tour operator software pricing works — because platforms structure their costs differently, and it affects how you compare them.
Most platforms charge a combination of subscription, booking, and transaction fees. The general rule: platforms that skip the monthly subscription tend to charge higher booking fees to compensate, and vice versa. TicketingHub falls firmly in the first camp.
Here’s what TicketingHub charges:
- No subscription fees. There are no monthly fees to use TicketingHub — you only pay when you make a sale.
- 3% booking fees. TicketingHub charges a flat 3% on every successful booking. This applies across the board — card payments, cash sales, website bookings, OTA bookings, and offline bookings, like in-person walk-ups.
Most competitors don’t charge fees for offline bookings or cash sales, which means TicketingHub can be much more expensive than other platforms if a significant portion of your business comes through walk-up or phone reservations.
- Transaction fees. TicketingHub integrates with Stripe and PayPal for payment processing. You’ll pay their standard rates on top of the 3% booking fee. Stripe’s domestic card rate runs approximately 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction — so the true cost of a direct booking is closer to 6% once you factor in payment processing.
Another fee worth mentioning is TicketingHub’s OTA integration fee. Connecting with OTAs through TicketingHub’s channel manager costs an additional 2% per channel — a fee that doesn’t appear on TicketingHub’s main pricing page and is only disclosed on individual OTA integration pages. This means OTA bookings effectively cost you 5% in TicketingHub fees alone (3% booking fee + 2% integration fee). When you factor in transaction fees, the total comes to about 8%.
Most competitors don’t charge for OTA integrations, either.
Lastly, TicketingHub’s pricing page mentions enterprise plans for businesses processing over £2M in annual revenue, but doesn’t publish any details — you’d need to contact them directly.
TicketingHub Product Overview

TicketingHub is a top-rated system — earning 4.9 stars on Capterra — and its reviews tell a pretty consistent story: users love the customer support and ease of use.
Reviewers frequently describe the team as responsive and hands-on. Operators mention screen-sharing sessions during setup, fast turnaround on feature requests, and a general sense that the team actually listens. For a smaller platform using online ticketing and booking software for the first time, that level of support can be a huge perk during onboarding.
And the platform is designed around speed and flexibility. Operators can get up and running in under a day, and the system is highly customisable — from widget design and pricing rules to product configurations and checkout flows.
Overall, TicketingHub offers a pretty comprehensive toolkit.
Sales can be managed across three channels: on your website via embeddable booking widgets, through OTAs and resellers, and in-person via a POS app for iOS and Android. The point-of-sale system works offline too, syncing automatically when connectivity is restored — convenient for operators selling tickets in the field.
It covers all the standard booking management features: a central calendar, availability management, resource and team management, CRM, automated communications, and fast check-in tools.
On the growth side, it includes channel management with 50+ OTA connections, plus a reseller portal for working with travel agents and affiliates. It also supports gift card and voucher sales, merchandise upselling at checkout, as well as waitlists and abandoned-cart retargeting to recover lost bookings.
However, TicketingHub is still a relatively small platform and has a thinner track record than competitors with thousands of users — with around 300 operators and 40 reviews (at the time of writing).

Reviews of TicketingHub
As mentioned above, TicketingHub’s reviews are pretty thin, but here’s what we can find.
Positive reviews of TicketingHub say:
- TicketingHub support is top-notch. Their team is quick to respond, available at odd hours, and genuinely willing to go the extra mile. This is mentioned across nearly every review.
- The platform is easy to get started with, and users say the onboarding experience is smooth, with the team walking you through setup every step of the way.
“Training and explanation were available at every turn, and the service feels very personal.”
- The system is highly flexible and customisable, with users praising the ability to tailor products, pricing rules, and checkout flows to their exact needs.
- The team actively listens to user feedback and ships updates quickly, with long-term users noting the platform has improved significantly, evolving to match their growth so they don’t need to switch systems.
“We have used Ticketinghub for a number of years because their system fits perfectly with our needs for selling tickets globally, at a very fair price point. We have been with them almost from the start, and although we have looked at other competitors, we have always stayed due to the constant software updates that have matched our growth.”
Negative reviews of TicketingHub say:
- New users can find the feature set overwhelming at first, with platform-specific terminology that takes some getting used to.
“It can be hard to get your head around as one or two bits aren’t overly intuitive.”
- The reporting dashboard is more basic than some competitors, and operators who need detailed guide scheduling and staff notifications will find those tools lacking.
- The platform’s UI can feel unpolished in places, with occasional system quirks that need ironing out.
“The platform is still a bit young and needs time to work out the UI and some system issues. That said, it is workable, and the team is implementing changes according to live feedback.”
- Customer self-service is limited. Customers cannot easily modify their own bookings without going through the operator.
- Some customisation limitations exist within the booking widget, including restrictions on displaying product images and limited colour and size options.

TicketingHub vs. Bókun
Bókun and TicketingHub are both top-rated, all-in-one booking management platforms designed for tour operators and activity providers. Both platforms earn good marks for ease of use, customer service, and functionality (we even share many of the same core features).
But there are three areas where Bókun stands out: value for money, growth drivers, and scalability.
1. Value for money
TicketingHub charges 3% on every booking — card, cash, and OTA — with no way to reduce that rate regardless of your booking volume. And as covered above, OTA bookings cost even more once you factor in the 2% integration fee, bringing TicketingHub’s fees on OTA bookings to 5%.
Bókun charges industry-low 1.5% fees for online bookings and goes further by waiving Bókun booking fees entirely on Viator reservations and never charging for offline bookings. And booking fees are even lower for enterprise customers (between 1% and 1.25%).
For a tour operator processing $100,000 in annual bookings, that difference adds up to $1,500 in savings every year. But if a significant portion of those bookings comes through OTAs, the gap widens considerably — you’re looking at 5% in TicketingHub fees per OTA booking vs. Bókun’s 1.5%, with Viator bookings free entirely.
Yes, Bókun charges a $49/month subscription. But even factoring that in, Bókun works out cheaper for any operator processing more than roughly $39,000 in annual bookings. And the gap widens as volume grows.
One more thing worth flagging: TicketingHub’s pricing page FAQ claims Bókun charges 6% per booking. That’s not accurate — Bókun charges 1.5%. If you’ve been using TicketingHub’s comparison table to evaluate alternatives, it’s worth verifying pricing directly on each provider’s site before making a decision.
2. Growth drivers
Bókun is a Tripadvisor brand and the #1 restech partner across most major OTAs and online marketplaces. We offer 70+ connections with online sales channels (at no extra charge) and a set of exclusive partnerships that TicketingHub can’t match:
- Our Preferred Partnership with Viator means we can waive Bókun booking fees on Viator reservations and offer (12, 24, or 48) free subscription checks depending on your plan.
- OurPremium Connectivity Partnership with GetYourGuideguarantees best-in-class API performance, better visibility, and access to all of GYG’s latest features.
- Our Approved Connectivity Partnership with Google Things to Do means Bókun users join Google’s programme instantly and promote their travel experiences on the world’s most popular search engine.
On top of that, we offer *the largest* in-built distribution network — Bókun Marketplace— that gives you access to thousands of travel industry partners: travel agencies, DMCs, hotels, resorts, transportation providers, rental companies, and other tour operators. You get complete access to the Marketplace from day one at no extra charge.
Bókun users leverage our Marketplace to partner with resellers who can earn bookings for them, resell others’ services for a commission, and create comprehensive packages with partners.
Bókun also includes Referral Tracking, which lets you partner with any business or individual of your choosing — local hotels, bloggers, influencers, tourism boards — and build a custom affiliate network with fully trackable links.
Bókun users see, on average, a 200% increase in bookings within just a year of joining our platform. Check out some of their success stories below:
- Venice Tours achieved a 400% revenue increase through the Bókun Marketplace
- Tasty Tours NYC became a multi-channel success with 381% revenue growth after integrating with Airbnb
- Simba Sea Trips sees consistent 20% year-on-year revenue growth after joining Bókun
- Tour Marbella pulls in 54% of its bookings through connections via the Bókun Marketplace
- How Diving Centre saw a 40% surge in bookings with Bókun
3. Scalability
TicketingHub mentions enterprise pricing for businesses processing over £2M in annual revenue, but provides no details on what’s included, making it harder to plan ahead as your business grows. Bókun offers a clearer path for growing businesses.
Our PLUS and PREMIUM plans cost $149/month with 1.25% online booking fees and $499/month with 1% online booking fees, respectively, and include advanced tools like agent portals, allocation manager, subvendor management, and Zapier access — along with guided onboarding, priority support, and a yearly strategy call with Bókun’s team.
Plus, Bókun’s App Store lets you add modules to any plan — digital waivers, tip management, advanced reporting, SMS messaging, departure management, and more — so the platform evolves with your business without requiring a full system migration.

Bókun Pricing Breakdown
Here’s how our pricing compares to TicketingHub:
TicketingHub is a solid ticketing and booking platform with strong customer support and a simple pricing model that works well for smaller operators. But as booking volume grows, that 3% fee on every reservation really adds up, and TicketingHub isn’t so cost-effective.
Bókun offers the lowest booking fees in the industry at 1.5%, with 0% Bókun fees on Viator reservations and nothing on offline bookings. Add in a massive distribution network, exclusive OTA partnerships, and a platform built to scale with your business, and it’s easy to see why operators vote Bókun the best value for money.
