Why we’re changing the way Bókun ships product

Product releases are changing. Operators are busier than ever, and seeing what’s worth their attention — and putting it to work — has become harder.

Across thousands of conversations with operators this year, we kept hearing the same things:

  • I want to see features in action, not just read about them.
  • I want to hear from the team who built it — what’s it for, why now, what does it unlock?
  • Drip-by-drip announcements get lost. Big moments stick.
  • I want a regular cadence so I can plan.

So we’re adding a new way to keep up.

Introducing Bókun Tide

Bókun Tide is our new product release series. Instead of announcing new features one by one, we’re bundling our latest updates into a single named release moment — demoed live by the team that built each one, in one place, with real Q&A.

This is the first one. More will follow on a regular cadence.

A few things worth knowing about Tide:

  • It’s a moment, not a release date. Features still ship on their own timelines. The Tide is when we walk you through them properly.
  • It’s built around you. Every feature in a Tide started with operator feedback. No fluff, no filler.
  • It’s designed for action. Every release in a Tide is something you can switch on for your account today.

What’s in the May Tide

We held the first ever Bókun Tide on 6 May 2026, walking through new releases live with our PMM, Product, and Partnerships teams. Here’s what’s in it:

  • Schedule faster with 20+ updates to the Calendar — quick actions, more customer info, clearer scheduling at a glance.
  • Get products live in minutes with the new AI Product Importer — your catalogue, built from your website, automatically.
  • Build products without writing a word with AI Descriptions and the new product creation flow.
  • Convert more at checkout with our redesigned PayPal integration — Apple Pay, Google Pay and Venmo built in.
  • Save hours on pricing with Pricing Sync for Viator — your rates aligned automatically.
  • Reach new audiences with Viator experiences inside AI assistants like Claude.ai and Alexa+.

Why we host it live

Hosting Tide live, with the team that built each feature, was a deliberate choice.

When you build software for operators, you live and die by whether it actually solves the problem in front of them. The fastest way to know that is to put the people who designed the product in front of the people who’ll use it — and let them ask questions in real time.

That’s what live demos give us. No marketing fluff. No corporate detachment. Just the team behind the work, on screen, ready to engage. Q&A becomes a feedback loop, not a footnote.

What’s next

The next Bókun Tide is already in the works. We’ll share dates as we lock them in.

In the meantime, the full May Tide page has every demo, the recording, and step-by-step on how to switch each release on for your account. And for everything we’re shipping between Tides, the Bókun changelog is the best place to keep up to date — every release, every improvement, every fix, in one running list.

Big releases are easier to track. Bigger moments are easier to remember. And operators who win are the ones who know exactly what’s available to them — and have the time to put it to work.

Welcome to Bókun Tide.
