Unreal experiences photo competition – Terms and conditions

1. This competition (the “Competition”) is open to all tour, activity, attraction and experience providers. The organizer is Bókun (a trading name of Tripadvisor LLC), a Delaware corporation with offices at 400 1st Avenue, Needham, MA 02494, US.
2. The opening date for entries is 12:00pm BST on August 4, 2025. The closing date of the Competition is 11:59pm BST on September 1, 2025 (the “Competition Period”).
3. All entries must be submitted via the dedicated Competition page. The Competition is free to enter, and no purchase is necessary.
4. Bókun will not accept (a) responsibility for entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, for any reason including but not limited to equipment or software failure; or (b) proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Competition. An entry will be made once the entrant’s photograph appears in the Submission area of the dedicated Competition page.
5. By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Bókun reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to any person in breach of these Terms and Conditions. Bókun reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if their conduct is contrary to the spirit of the Competition. You agree to indemnify Bókun and its affiliated companies against any claim from any third party for any breach of these Terms and Conditions, and in connection with any claim that an entry infringes the rights of any third party.
6. The Competition is open to any tour, activity, attraction and/or experience provider. No employee of Bókun or any of its affiliated companies may enter.
7. No more than 1 entry per person is permitted.
8. Entries must:
   1. be no larger than 1.7MB and submitted as either PNG, JPEG or WebP files [with no watermarks, signatures or borders included];
   2. be the entrant’s original work, and must not infringe the rights of any third party, including copyright, trade mark, privacy, publicity, or proprietary rights;
   3. be taken with a camera;
   4. genuinely capture an experience provided by the entrant; 
   5. not be generated by computer or AI; and
   6. be accompanied by a valid and complete email address and contact details belonging to the entrant.
9. The competition entries will be judged by visitors to the Competition page during the Competition Period who will be able to vote for their favorite entry. The winner will be the entry with the most votes received during the Competition Period. You may not vote for your own entry. Only one vote per IP address will be accepted.
10. The winner will be notified by email. If they do not respond within 7 days of being notified, then the prize will be forfeited and Bókun will be entitled to offer the prize to the entrant with the second highest number of votes.
11. The winner will receive (i) a $1,000 voucher to go towards growing their business (example: Instagram ads, branded t-shirts, Google ads, flyers etc – to be determined mutually by the winner and Bókun), and (ii) a 12-month Tourpreneur PRO operator membership valued at USD $299. The winner is responsible for any applicable taxes, fees, or other costs associated with the use of the voucher. The prizes will be arranged within a reasonable period after the Competition Period, after the winner and Bókun have reached agreement on the specifics of the voucher.
12. Bókun reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Competition at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.
13. All decisions made by Bókun in connection with this Competition are final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
14. You agree that Bókun may make your entry available in any media and through any marketing or promotional channels, for any purpose related to Bókun’s business. You agree to grant Bókun a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual license of any intellectual property rights in your Competition entry to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, reformat and sublicense your Competition entry for any such aforementioned purpose. By submitting an entry, you agree to waive any moral rights contained in your entry.
15. By submitting an entry, you warrant that no animals were harmed or manipulated, and that all persons featured in your entry have given you their express consent for their image to be used. In the case of any person under 18 years of age, you warrant that you have obtained express consent from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s).
16. Bókun will use your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. The winner may be required to participate in publicity in connection with the Competition, and you agree that your personal information may be used for this purpose.
17. The Competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Boston, Massachusetts.
