No better time to launch a blog

The Bókun Team • Mar 09, 2020

2020 hasn't been easy.

Bókun was created with the goal of providing tours and activities operators with everything they need to more effectively and efficiently run their businesses. And right now our customers are telling us they need information.

We are following the news every day, just like you, and we’re adjusting our business strategies day-by-day and month-by-month accordingly. We’ve long been telling tours and activities operators that when there is a time of travel slowdown — whether that’s during regular annual off-peak periods or an unforeseen time like we are currently facing with COVID-19 — to focus on your business operations so that you are positioned for success when travel picks back up. Now is the time to create or improve your website, update your product descriptions and images, engage with travelers via social media and email, get your products on more distribution channels, and collect more traveler reviews.

At Bókun, we are listening to you and also taking our own advice. We are focusing on improving our product, updating our website, creating more content, and collecting feedback from our customers. We’ve launched this blog as a resource for experiences operators like you. We don’t know what the next few days, weeks, or months will bring, but we will be here to help you through it.

Venice Tours offers local experiences in Venice and is one of Bókun’s key accounts. Their main goal when they contacted us was to increase the sales of their tours significantly. They took advantage of Bókun’s features to connect to a vast network of resellers and Online Travel Agencies (OTAs). In this case study, we review how their sales success was achieved through Bókun’s Channel Manager API. We will detail how with the help of Technology Partner, Datagest, the tour operator was able to connect via API without any cost to resources on their side.
