There are plenty of generic scheduling tools serving UK and European businesses — Square, Fresha, Setmore, SumUp. Appointment schedulers with a «book now» button bolted on. But they aren’t built for tour operators. They don’t manage OTA channels, track which guides and gear are free for a specific departure, or handle shared departures with group size limits.
So we pulled together the booking systems that are actually built for that job — for UK and European tour and experience providers, from single-guide operations to enterprise attraction groups.
We start with our own system, Bókun. Founded in Iceland and built as an all-in-one operations platform to manage bookings, behind-the-scenes logistics, and distribution across OTAs, resellers, and your own site.

1. Bókun
All-in-one bookings, operations & distribution management system for tour operators worldwide

Bókun is one of the most comprehensive tour operator software with features to run your entire operation from one place — booking, distribution, resource management, and everything in between — so you’re not duct-taping five different systems together to keep your business running.
We are a Tripadvisor and Viator brand operating worldwide.
We work with UK tour providers and teams in over 85 countries and have equipped Bókun with several tools to support global teams.
Here’s what’s under the hood:
- Booking and availability management
- Channel management, OTA partnerships, and a partner Marketplace
- Product & resource management
- CRM, automated communications, and customer management tools
- Reporting dashboard and tools to manage back-office processes
The big one to call out here is our Marketplace, home to thousands of businesses in the travel and leisure industry — including UK DMOs and DMCs (e.g., VisitWest, ASVA, Cumbria Tourism, TXGB), and hundreds of local and regional UK-based resellers. This network makes it easy to connect and partner with other UK tour and travel businesses, and Bókun includes contract management tools to help you seal the deal. No other system on this list offers a partner network at this scale.
And being part of the Viator family also comes with some perks. Viator users can import products directly into Bókun, and we offer exclusive money-saving benefits here. For example, we waive Bókun booking fees on Viator reservations and offer 12, 24, or 48 free subscription checks (depending on your package) to reduce costs while selling online.
Bókun is highly customisable and scalable; you can optimise our system for your needs and adjust settings as you grow. We offer packages to suit all business sizes, budget-friendly pricing (with industry-low booking fees!), and dedicated UK-based sales and support teams.
The following sections review our features for UK-based tour operators in more detail, but if you want to just dive right in and test the platform yourself, you can start a 14-day free trial here.
Bókun booking management module
Tools to create a bookable site
Bókun gives you everything you need to create a bookable website, whether you already have a site or need to still get your business online.
If you already have a website, our booking engine widgets slot directly into your existing pages. We provide a variety of styles here— «Book Now» buttons, calendar views, product listings, and product overviews — so you can include a mix of options throughout your site and give your customers plenty of ways to start booking.

Our widgets are compatible with WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Weebly, Joomla, and most other website builders.
Read more: How to add a booking system to your website
If you don’t have a site yet, our one-click website builder gets you a fully bookable site from scratch, no coding needed. Choose a template, add your own branding and photos, and you’re ready to take bookings.

Both options come included in every subscription at no extra cost, and if you go the website builder route, we cover your domain registration too.
We integrate with a wide range of payment processors — Apple Pay, Google Pay, Stripe, PayPal, Venmo, Rapyd, Worldpay, Braintree, Klarna, and more — so no one’s abandoning a booking because their preferred payment method isn’t supported.
The whole booking flow is designed around one goal: get people from «browsing» to «booked» with as few clicks as possible. Fewer steps mean fewer people bailing halfway through checkout.

The Bókun central calendar
Every reservation you take — through your site, an OTA, over the phone, or in person — lands in one central calendar the moment it’s confirmed. You’re not toggling between your website’s backend, a Viator dashboard, and a notebook by the till to figure out what’s booked and when.
Click into any reservation to see the full picture: who’s booked, how many people, which guide or resource is assigned, and any add-ons attached.
And if you need to make any last-minute changes — reassign guides, shift around tours because weather changes, or adjust availability — you can do so right from the calendar.

Real-time availability updates
The calendar doesn’t just display bookings — it actively manages availability across every channel you’re connected to.
Our system detects new reservations and automatically updates all calendars to display your most current availability. So the instant a slot fills up on your website, that same slot disappears from Viator, GetYourGuide, and anywhere else you’re listed. You’re not manually re-checking five different platforms to make sure you haven’t double booked a departure.
Channel management, Bókun Marketplace, & affiliate support
OTA connections
Bókun’s channel management module puts your experiences in front of travellers who are searching OTAs rather than your own site — and we connect with more of them than most names on this list (70+!).
We’re the #1 restech partner across major sites, and we hold advanced partnerships with Viator, GetYourGuide, and Google Things to Do, which come with better visibility and extra perks beyond a standard connection.
- As mentioned above, our Viator Preferred Partnership lets us waive Bókun fees on Viator bookings and offer 12, 24, or 48 free subscription checks a year (depending on your plan).
- Our GetYourGuide Premium Connectivity Partnership makes it easy to get listed there and guarantees faster, more reliable syncing between the two systems.
- Our Google Things to do partnership lets our users skip the usual application process and go straight to being listed on Google’s search engine and apps.
Some of the other OTAs we connect with include Civitatis, Headout, Lovetovisit, Tiqets, Klook, BeMyGuest, Musement, CheckYeti, Expedia, Booking.com, TXGB, Attraction World, TourRadar, Holibob, and HotelBeds. We also integrate with more niche sites so you can find OTAs tailored to your specific offerings or region.

Bókun Marketplace
Beyond OTAs, Bókun includes a native reseller network — the Marketplace — with thousands of businesses to partner up with. This includes countless UK tour operators and travel businesses, including travel agents, destination management companies (DMCs), attractions, accommodation providers such as hotels and resorts, rental companies, transportation services, and more.

Tour operators use our Marketplace to earn new bookings and add new revenue streams. For example, you can:
- Partner with resellers who will promote your tours to their customer base, earning you new bookings.
- Partner with suppliers and resell their tours or travel services to earn commissions.
- Create bundles with partners — tour packages or comprehensive travel packages — to diversify your product line and attract new customers.
We also handle the admin side of running these partnerships: manage outreach, negotiate terms, and store contracts, all in our system.
Check out some of our case studies below to see how current Bókun customers use our Marketplace:
- International Friends generates $500K in sales via Bókun Marketplace
- Mega Zipline Iceland leverages 100+ reseller contracts to scale business to new heights
- Venice Tours achieved a 400% revenue increase through the Bókun Marketplace
- Tour Marbella pulls 54% of its bookings through Bókun Marketplace connections
- Simba Sea Trips sees consistent 20% year-on-year revenue growth after joining Bókun
Referral Tracking & affiliate support
Referral Tracking extends partnerships even further — you’re not limited to businesses already inside the Marketplace. You can build out an affiliate network with anyone who makes sense for your business: social media influencers, travel bloggers who cover your area, tourism boards, local interest groups, or nearby operators offering something that complements what you do.
And you stay fully in control here. Choose your own partners, set commission rates for each one individually, and give them either a trackable booking link or their own dedicated booking page to promote your experiences.
Our reporting shows you exactly which affiliates are driving bookings, so you can focus more on the ones that are working.
Bókun product & resource management module
Bókun’s Experience tab is where you build and manage every product you sell — with the availability, pricing, and the resources behind each one, all in one place.
There are a few ways to create listings here:
- You can use our product builder, which walks you through each step so nothing gets missed.
- Create templates from products and whip up new ones in no time.
- Use our AI importer to pull in products from your website, or one-click import products Viator.
Whichever route you take, each listing carries the same core details: a name, a description and itinerary, photos from past tours (these do a lot of the selling), and the day-of specifics — what’s included, what guests should bring, and anything else they need to know before showing up.

From there, you’ll set:
- Availability. Specify the days and times your tours run, your minimum and maximum group sizes, and buffer time between departures — useful if your guides need travel time between locations or you need a gap to reset equipment before the next group arrives.
- Pricing. Set per-person rates, a flat rate for private bookings, and group discounts. We also offer dynamic pricing that works off rules you set — increase rates automatically as a tour fills up, drop them as your booking cutoff approaches and seats are still open, or adjust by sales channel or season. Set the rule once, and the system applies it going forward without you having to touch prices manually. You’ll also specify how people pay — deposit, full payment upfront, or pay-at-arrival — and add cancellation policies here.
- Resources. Assign the guides, equipment, and vehicles each experience actually needs, and set allocation rules that govern how those resources get used. Rules can be combined too — so if a tour needs two guides and a specific vehicle, the system tracks that as one unit rather than three separate checks you have to run yourself.
The system also lets you bundle multiple products into a single combo listing or offer add-ons with experiences — both easy ways to diversify your product line, help customers customise their experiences, and increase revenue per booking.
Bókun’s in-built CRM system & customer management tools
The CRM
Bókun includes a native CRM that starts building a customer’s profile the moment they contact you or begin a booking. Names, emails, full booking history, and anything else you collect through your booking forms all live in one contact record, so you can pull up exactly what someone’s booked before without digging through old emails.
Having everything in a neat contact book lets you easily see who’s booking with you, learn more about their preferences, and connect with your customer base.

Automated communications
The CRM is backed by automated communications that handle the routine touchpoints: booking confirmations, mobile tickets, automated reminders, and post-experience follow-ups. You can also schedule out your marketing emails here to power all your retargeting campaigns.

There’s a gallery of ready-made email templates — review requests, referral asks, promotions, abandoned cart nudges — or you can build your own for other marketing initiatives.
Between the CRM and automated sends, you’re reducing your tech stack and freeing up admin hours you’d otherwise spend on manual follow-up. You can learn more about these features in our guide here: Best CRMs for tour operators (buyer’s guide).
Customer self-service portals
Every booking confirmation email includes a portal link, so customers can manage their reservations on their own — without back-and-forth phone calls or emails with your team. From the portals, they can view, modify, or cancel reservations or purchase add-ons before they visit you.
When a customer makes a change through the portal, the system automatically sends a new confirmation email, updates the central calendar, and notifies your office and guides — so nobody’s left working off outdated information.
Check-in tools
Bókun’s mobile apps for iOS and Android put check-in wherever your team actually is that day — the meeting point, the ticket desk, a car park if that’s where your tour actually kicks off. Any guide logged into the app can pull up the day’s booking list, scan a guest’s QR code ticket, and see who’s arrived and who hasn’t, all in real time.
The apps work offline too, so a dead signal at a remote meeting spot won’t hold anything up — everything syncs the second you’re back in range. That means your guides always know exactly who’s turned up, who hasn’t, and can get moving right on schedule instead of standing around doing a manual headcount.
Bókun back-office tools
Bókun reporting dashboards
Our reporting dashboards break bookings and revenue down by product, sales channel, and time period, so you can see which experiences are most popular, which sites and partners win you the most business, and when your busy (vs. slow) seasons hit.
And you can use this data to actually grow your business, not just track it.
- Spot your strongest performers and build on them. Add more departures for what’s already selling well, expand your product line with similar experiences that might do just as well, or combine two popular experiences into a single combo product so guests get more of what they love.
- Offer more of your best-selling add-ons. If a photo package keeps selling, make sure you’ve got the crew or equipment to offer it on every departure. If a food or drink pairing outsells the rest, make it available across more of your time slots. And if branded merch is a hit, add more styles or keep more in stock so you’re not sold out mid-season.
- Compare performance across your sales channels and partners, then shift your effort accordingly. Push more of your products to those sites and open more availability where you’re already winning consistent bookings. And dial back what isn’t pulling so much weight.
- Prepare for your busy seasons before they hit, so nothing stalls you once bookings start rolling in. Bring on extra staff, get equipment and gear in top shape, or expand your inventory if you’re adding departures to meet demand.
- Get ahead of slow seasons. Run discounts or promotions to keep your calendar filled before things quiet down. Or, if you’re a seasonal business, use that downtime to start marketing your next big season early.

App Store
Beyond the core features covered above, the Bókun App Store lets you add extra functionality as your operation needs it — and you can turn modules on or off any time. Some of our apps include a digital waiver solution, a tip management tool, departure management, and an SMS messenger.
Getting started with Bókun
We offer a 14-day free trial for all new customers to explore our platform before starting a subscription.
Our most popular subscription is the START plan, at $49/month. This package includes all the above features and is suitable for small, mid-size, and scaling teams. We offer super-low booking fees here, just 1.5% for online reservations. We waive Bókun booking fees for Viator reservations, and offline bookings are always free.
We also offer two enterprise-level plans — PLUS and PREMIUM — to support growing teams. These come with a dedicated UK-based account manager and onboarding support. They also include more advanced features like agent portals, subvendor management, resource allocation, and Zapier.

2. Regiondo

Regiondo is a German brand whose online booking software has historically been popular with small and growing tour companies in the UK (with packages catering to teams of 2 to 25).
Regiondo offers an all-in-one solution to support booking, availability, product, resource, channel, and customer management. It also includes a native reseller network to explore business partnerships. Google recognises Regiondo as an official tech partner.
Regiondo makes our list because it offers a comprehensive toolset and earns good reviews, but the thing to note is that Regiondo pricing is expensive. Most teams need the Pro plan ($114/month) to access everything they need. Regiondo charges booking fees on top of this pricey subscription. And their website builder now costs a one-time fee of $1,174 — a notable jump from what it used to cost as a monthly add-on.
Find more Regiondo reviews here.
Features
- Booking widget for your website
- One-click website builder (optional add-on, $1,174 one-time)
- Online payment processing (Stripe & PayPal)
- Booking calendar & dashboard
- Channel manager (GetYourGuide, Viator & more)
- Partner & wholesaler management (reseller network)

Pricing
Regiondo provides two packages for tour operators:
- Grow ($68/month): This plan is pretty basic. It comes with booking engine widgets, payment processing, a booking calendar, channel management, and mobile tickets with ticket scanning. Regiondo recommends this for solo operators and small teams to sell online.
- Pro ($114/month): This package builds on the Grow plan with product bundles, guest self-service portals, custom-branded tickets, seating and venue management, API access, and advanced Google Analytics setup.
A booking fee applies to online sales — across both plans — though Regiondo doesn’t disclose this fee. Offline bookings carry no extra fees.
Both plans come with a personal onboarding manager and chat, email, and phone support.

3. Beyonk & BookingHound

Next are Beyonk and BookingHound — these sister brands offer solutions for tour operators and attractions managing high-volume ticket sales (respectively). And together, they make up one of the largest booking system brands in the UK.
Beyonk is typically recommended for tour operators to manage bookings. It includes typical tour operator software tools — with a reseller network and advanced features like dynamic pricing — to support multiple business areas, streamline processes, and drive growth.
BookingHound is typically the solution of choice for attractions or activity-based businesses (like trampoline parks or escape rooms) looking to manage and increase ticket sales. This solution includes most of the business management tools available in Beyonk, like inventory management, automated communications, and reporting. It also includes features to support high-volume ticket sales, such as capacity management, waitlisting tools, and options to sell memberships.
While both solutions earn rave reviews from customers, some warn of an initial learning curve and note that specific tools, like the reporting dashboard, can be challenging to navigate. However, users say Beyonk and BookingHound customer support is helpful and responsive when you need assistance.
It’s also worth noting that Beyonk and BookingHound both charge moderate booking fees, at 4% per online reservation.
Find more Beyonk & BookingHound reviews here.

BookingHound is available for $39/month. This plan also includes a 4% booking fee, but the subscription provides access to advanced tools such as waitlisting, digital waivers, abandoned-cart retargeting, and more (listed above).
Beyonk & BookingHound also offer custom plans for enterprises.

4. TicketingHub

TicketingHub is another popular all-in-one solution for UK-based teams looking to manage and drive ticket sales. It offers typical booking management features plus inventory management, CRM, and reporting. TicketingHub also supports UK-based and global teams with multi-currency features.
TicketingHub earns a spot on our list for its advanced features and reseller network. And it has a 4.9-star rating, with positive reviews for both ease of use and customer service.
The potential downside of TicketingHub is the booking fees. TicketingHub charges a flat 3% booking fee on every booking — including offline and walk-up sales — which most competitors don’t charge for. There’s also a separate 2% OTA integration fee (not listed on their main pricing page, only disclosed per-channel), so OTA-sourced bookings can effectively run closer to 5% once both fees are factored in.
When deciding whether TicketingHub is a suitable solution for your team, consider the prices of your tours and experiences, how much business comes through OTAs vs. direct or offline channels, and how these fees stack up against total booking costs.
Find more TicketingHub reviews here.
Features
- Centralised booking calendar & availability management
- Online booking widgets
- Channel management & OTA connections
- Tools to create tour packages
- Options to sell gift cards, vouchers & merchandise
- Upselling & abandoned cart retargeting
- Reseller marketplace
- Native POS
- Online payment integrations
- Multi-currency features
- Inventory management
- Native CRM
- Reporting
- Mobile apps
Pricing
TicketingHub charges a 3% booking fee per online reservation, plus a separate 2% OTA integration fee per connected channel — you can choose to cover these fees or pass them to the traveller. TicketingHub doesn’t charge monthly subscription fees.
TicketingHub also offers custom enterprise packages for businesses with more than $2 million in annual revenue.

5. TrekkSoft

TrekkSoft is a Switzerland-based brand popular with tour operators in the UK and other European countries. It typically advertises to outdoor adventure providers, such as zipline companies, rafting guides, bike tour businesses, ski and snowboard instructors, rock-climbing guides, hiking and trail guides, caving guides, and hang gliding companies.
TrekkSoft earns a solid 4.5-star reputation across review sites, and reviewers praise its all-encompassing toolset, global partner network, and ease of use. It’s straightforward to get started with, and TrekkSoft offers free onboarding support to help new operators get up and running.
That said, TrekkSoft is one of the more expensive options on this list. Every plan comes with a monthly subscription, online booking fees, and transaction fees stacked on top of each other — and operators don’t get much here that other tour operator software doesn’t already offer at a lower price. All plans also require a 12-month contract billed annually, so it’s worth being confident before signing on.
Find more TrekkSoft reviews here.
Features
- Customisable booking calendar
- Custom website builder
- Booking widgets for existing sites
- Availability management
- Connections with OTAs & channel management
- Partner network to establish contracts with suppliers & resellers
- Integrations with payment processing tools (Stripe, PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay)
- Payoo (TrekkSoft’s native payment gateway)
- Resource management
- Reporting
- Mobile apps
Pricing
TrekkSoft offers three packages. All require an annual contract.
- Starter plan ($49/month with 3% online booking fees and $1.76 per offline booking): This offers the basics to bring your business online and connect with OTAs, but it provides limited access to the reseller network.
- Accelerate plan ($175 per month plus 2.5% online booking fees and $1.17 per offline booking): This plan unlocks more features, including inventory management, and grants full access to the reseller network.
- Ultimate plan ($292 per month plus 2% online booking fees and 59¢ per offline booking): The enterprise plan includes TrekkSoft’s business intelligence suite and access to the developer API.
TrekkSoft charges a 2.5% + 29¢ transaction fee for all online payments through Payoo (the same rate across all packages).

6. Travelotopos

Travelotopos’ strong presence in the UK and premium partnership with GetYourGuide make it a compelling option for tour operators in that region. Tour operators like Travelotopos because it’s extremely easy to use, flexible, scalable, moderately priced, and offers benefits for teams selling on GYG.
Travelotopos provides comprehensive features for managing bookings, resources, and sales channels, making it especially well-suited for businesses looking to grow their online presence. In addition to its GYG partnership, it offers a B2B reseller marketplace and a Google integration, allowing teams to join the Things to do program and sell tours across Google’s apps.
While Travelotopos offers an impressive feature set, it has very few customer reviews, making it difficult to assess the user experience or gauge how customers feel about the solution. If you’re interested in Travelotopos, we suggest contacting their team to learn more about the support they offer.
Find more Travelotopos reviews here.
Features
- Online booking engine (supports six languages to sell tours across countries)
- Connections with OTAs & channel management
- Preferred partnership with GetYourGuide
- Booking calendar (with offline reservation management)
- B2B reseller marketplace
- Resource management
- Integrations with major payment gateways, hotel reservation systems, and other business applications like ERPs
- Options to offer coupon codes, promotions, and vouchers
- Reporting
- Mobile apps
Pricing
Travelotopos charges a one-time set-up fee of $270. After that, you pay 3% booking fees for online reservations (from your website or OTAs) and 1.5% fees on agent and reseller bookings. There are no monthly subscription fees here.
7. bookingkit

bookingkit is a Berlin-based booking platform that calls itself Europe’s market leader in booking software for tour, activity, and attraction providers — a solid counterpart to Regiondo in both positioning and target market. It works with a wide range of leisure businesses: outdoor and indoor activity operators, escape rooms, diving schools, hot air balloon operators, cooking schools, and more.
The core toolkit covers a centralised booking calendar with real-time availability, product management, vouchers and gift card sales, resource management, channel management with OTA connections like Viator and GetYourGuide, and an email campaign manager.
Reviews are generally positive, and the checkout experience comes up a lot — several reviewers specifically call out the clean, professional booking flow for their customers. Onboarding support also gets consistent praise, with users describing the team as friendly and hands-on.
The complaints here are mostly about cost. A recurring theme is that bookingkit feels expensive compared to similar platforms, especially once you stack the subscription fee, booking fee, and per-ticket fee together.
A few users also say the back-end admin interface feels a bit dated, though most find it workable once they’re used to it.
Ongoing support is a mixed bag too — some report fast, helpful responses, while others mention slower fixes and rigid conversations when billing disputes come up.
Find more bookingkit reviews here.
Features
- Online booking widget
- Centralised booking calendar
- Channel management & OTA connections
- B2B reseller platform
- Product management
- Availability management
- Resource management
- Integrations with payment processors (e.g., Google Pay and Apple Pay)
- Email campaign manager
- Options to sell gift cards & vouchers
- Ticket scanning for fast check-in
- Mobile apps
Pricing
bookingkit offers three plans:
- Starterkit ($55/month with 3% online payment fees, 3% booking fees, and a 68¢ ticket fee): This plan is pretty basic. You only get a checkout widget, booking management, and support for 1 user.
- Businesskit ($112/month with 3% online payment fees, 2% booking fees, and a 68¢ ticket fee): Most teams need this plan because it provides access to all core features and distribution tools.
- Prokit (custom pricing): This is reserved for enterprises. It expands on Businesskit with dedicated account management, priority support, early access to new features, API integrations, and support for unlimited users.
bookingkit lists a form on the website where you can add your business details and see your recommended plan.
8. Advensure

Advensure is a newer platform built around a simple pitch: unlimited bookings, unlimited activities, and 0% booking fees (only a flat monthly subscription). It’s aimed at experience-based operators — walking tours, cycling tours, paragliding, scuba diving, kayaking, rafting, surfing, and similar activity types.
The platform includes real-time availability management, a website builder, OTA connections across 47 channels, and an «experience manager» that handles scheduling, availability, and inventory limits. Pricing tools support group tickets and ticket limitations, as well as add-ons, discounts, and coupon codes. However, there’s no dedicated CRM — customer management is limited to what the booking and payment tools capture.
As a newer platform, Advensure doesn’t have a ton of reviews to get an idea of how customers feel about the platform. It’s hard to assess what the real experience is like or how it holds up at scale.
Two other things worth flagging: Advensure currently has no live mobile app. And multi-user or team account support isn’t available yet. Both are listed on Advensure’s own site as «coming soon,» which sets it apart from every other platform on this list — all of which already offer guide-facing mobile apps.
Find more Advensure reviews here.
Features
- Online booking engine with real-time availability management
- One-click website builder
- Channel management & OTA connections
- Experience/product manager — scheduling, date & time availability, inventory limits)
- Pricing tools —multiple ticket types, group tickets, ticket limitations

- Online payments — deposit or full payment, PCI-compliant, direct to your bank account

Pricing
Advensure charges a $49/month flat fee.
9. Orioly

Orioly is based in Zagreb, Croatia, and builds booking and management software for tour, activity, and attraction operators, plus DMOs and tourism boards looking to promote a destination. It’s built direct-bookings-first: turn your website into a sales channel, then grow into channel management, reselling, and resource management as your business scales.
On the operations side, Orioly gives you product and availability management, channel management with connections to Viator, GetYourGuide, and Expedia, a B2B reseller marketplace, resource management, and team management. Orioly also offers a lightweight CRM with automated communications for customer management. And it handles automated document creation — quotes, invoices, waivers, and vouchers — so paperwork doesn’t eat up your admin time.
Orioly gets solid reviews, and users like that it’s one of the few booking engines with pricing that actually works for start-up and early-stage businesses — several mention this as the main reason they picked Orioly. Part of that’s the pricing model itself: instead of a monthly subscription, Orioly charges a one-time setup fee, and only booking fees and an annual retainer after that. This often works out cheaper over the year than platforms that bill you monthly.
However, a few reviewers say Orioly’s payment gateway options feel limited — there aren’t a lot of choices beyond PayPal. There have also been a few reports of missed bookings due to notification gaps. Though users note that the team has been quick to fix issues like this when they arise.

10. Ventrata

Ventrata is for enterprise-level companies generating at least $1 million in annual revenue. It’s not an option for small or midsize teams.
Ventrata was founded in London, England, and works with tour, activity, and experience providers, event management companies, cultural venues, and attractions. Customers include GoldenTours, Gray Line, Big Bus Tours, RATP Group, Merlin Entertainments, and EPIC (The Irish Emigration Museum) — a client list that skews toward high-volume, multi-location operations rather than small independent operators.
Ventrata is a powerful, feature-rich platform with booking management tools like online widgets and channel management, plus tools built for high-volume ticket sales — a ticket POS, retail POS, and self-service kiosks. It also covers back-office operations: inventory management, automated invoicing, fraud detection, and reporting.
Users consistently praise Ventrata’s toolset, ease of use, adaptability, and integration capabilities, along with responsive customer support — several reviewers specifically mention account managers who go beyond basic troubleshooting to offer strategic guidance as the business grows. For UK tour operators with high-volume sales, multiple channels, and complex operational needs, Ventrata’s features and scalability are a strong fit.
However, some reviewers note room for improvement in how Ventrata communicates product updates and new feature releases — a few mention wanting more visibility into what’s changing and when.
And as you’d expect from an enterprise-tier platform, Ventrata is the most expensive option on this list by a long shot, so operators considering it should weigh whether the cost is justified relative to their scale.

11. Tourtek (by Traveltek)

Traveltek is a UK-based company, founded in Glasgow, Scotland, that builds software for the wider travel industry. Its product, Tourtek, has shifted focus over the past couple of years — it’s no longer positioned as a straightforward single-experience or multi-activity booking system like the rest of the names on this list. Instead, Tourtek is now marketed around dynamic multi-day package building: combining supplier content (flights, hotels, cruises) with an operator’s own inventory to assemble complex itineraries — think safaris, rail tours, religious and specialised group tours, and multi-destination trips.
In practice, that means Tourtek solves a different problem than a rafting operator or walking tour company needs solved. It’s built for operators who package multi-component trips with flights and accommodation. Tourtek connects live to GDS suppliers, low-cost carriers, and hotel bedbanks, reducing the time it takes to assemble a complex package from around an hour to a few minutes.
Tourtek hasn’t received many reviews since this shift — most of what’s out there is Traveltek’s own marketing rather than actual customer feedback — so it’s hard to gauge real customer experiences with the platform.
A quick note: if your business runs single-day or multi-activity experiences — the core audience for everything else in this guide — Tourtek isn’t a good fit. It’s better suited to operators building flight-inclusive package tours. We’ve kept it here since it’s a UK-based name that comes up in tour operator software searches, but it’s solving a different problem than Bókun, Regiondo, Beyonk, TicketingHub, and the rest of this list.
