KKday is one of Asia-Pacific’s most popular online travel marketplaces — with over 100k products across 90+ countries and 550+ cities. Its core audience is Asian travellers, primarily from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia, who use the platform to discover and book local experiences in those destinations.

If you want to expand into these markets, KKday is your direct line in.

This guide covers everything you need to start selling your travel experiences on KKday — application requirements and how to become a supplier, what you can sell, how commission and payouts work, and what actually moves the needle on bookings. We also explain the KKday <> Bókun connection and how the two platforms work in tandem.

How to apply as a KKday supplier

Before you start filling anything out, it’s worth mentioning that KKday runs three separate programmes — double-check that you’re applying for the right one.

  • KKday Supplier / SCM: The vendor platform for tour operators, activity providers, attractions, and transfer companies listing their own inventory. This is the one you want.
  • KKday B2D: The distributor platform for travel agencies and resellers who want to sell KKday experiences to their own customers. Not for operators listing their own tours.
  • KKpartners: The affiliate programme for bloggers, influencers, and website owners earning commission on referral links. Also not for you.

Next, read KKday’s supplier requirements to confirm you have everything necessary to apply.

KKday only partners with registered businesses (personal accounts aren’t accepted), so you’ll be asked to provide:

  • Business registration certificate
  • Travel agent licence (if applicable, only required in some markets)
  • Additional tax identifiers for Malaysia and Vietnam
  • Relevant insurance documents, company and banking details, and product information
  • The name of your company contact who’s authorised to sign, plus a finance contact for invoicing and payouts

A professional web presence and a track record of positive reviews also help — KKday’s team reviews product quality and destination fit, not just whether your paperwork is in order.

Then, you’re ready to submit your application.

  • Go to kkday.com/en/kk/supplier and create an account
  • Complete the questionnaire covering your destinations, product types, and operational capacity
  • Upload your documents and submit

KKday’s team will review your application (usually within ~five days). Once approved, they’ll reach out to negotiate commission and walk you through onboarding.

Then you build listings inside the SCM portal: titles, descriptions, photos, itineraries, duration, meeting points, ticket types, pricing, availability, and payment details.

The whole process — from application to live listings — typically takes about two to four weeks, depending on your destination and KKday’s application volume at the time.

What tours & activities can you sell on KKday?

KKday’s catalogue covers most of what tour and activity operators run:

What tends to be most popular: iconic and photogenic locations, skip-the-line access, culturally immersive experiences, small group sizes, and multilingual guiding.

KKday supplier fees, commissions & payouts

KKday operates on a commission-only model, so you don’t pay enrolment, listing, or subscription fees.

Commission is negotiated individually with KKday’s business development team during onboarding; there aren’t any universal rates published. Product type, destination, and expected volume all influence where you land. That said, commission rates generally fall between 15% and 30%.

KKday collects payment from travellers, retains its commission, and settles with suppliers monthly. They typically issue payouts towards the end of the month. And payout currencies are determined by your registered location or settlement bank.

Best practices for creating KKday listings & winning bookings

  • Write specific, benefit-led titles. «Skip-the-Line Senso-ji Temple Tour with Local Expert» beats a generic destination name. Your title is the first thing travellers see, and it competes directly against every similar listing in search results — vague ones lose.
  • Use real photos from actual tours. Skip stock photos. You want attention-grabbing, high-quality photos that clearly show the unique aspects of your experiences and give travellers a glimpse of what to expect during their time with you. Think action shots of guests during the tour, guide interactions, the actual views and locations travellers will see, food if it’s a food tour, that kind of thing. (Also, since KKday traffic is heavily mobile, the images need to look good on a phone.)
  • Write for the audience. Lead with what travellers care about: iconic sights, skip-the-line passes, exclusive access, and small group sizes. If you guide in Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean, say so explicitly — for many travellers, language availability is the deciding factor.
  • Spell everything out. Inclusions, exclusions, meeting points, what to bring. Vague listings create confused guests, and confused guests leave bad reviews.
  • Offer options. Multiple ticket types — adult, child, family — and multiple departure times. Travellers who can’t fit your one or two daily slots into their itinerary will book a competitor who can accommodate them.
  • Price competitively. Research what similar experiences are going for in your destination and find a price that’s fair for both you and travellers. You can also use dynamic pricing to adjust for peak and off-peak seasons, so you can offer discounted pricing when things are slower and maximise revenue during busier periods.
  • Keep availability current. Stale calendars can cost you sales, and double bookings damage your platform standing and force the kind of cancellations that lead to bad reviews. (This is where Bókun comes in —more on that later.)
  • Respond fast. Response rates and ratings both influence listing placement. Slow replies to traveller enquiries or KKday’s team can drop your listings in the results and hurt your visibility.
  • Collect reviews consistently. Review volume and quality are ranking signals inside KKday and (obviously) influence travellers comparing your experiences to others. Create a process for requesting reviews during and after tours to build volume.

Benefits of becoming a KKday supplier

  • KKday lets you reach an audience most OTAs don’t. Travellers from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia research and book in their own language and currency. Without a KKday listing, you’re largely invisible to this segment.
  • It’s particularly strong in Japan. KKday acquired Activity Japan in 2021, significantly expanding its presence, and it has a dedicated local team working directly with suppliers and attractions in the market. A huge perk if Japan is a key destination for you.
  • KKday’s B2D and KKpartners programmes push your reach even further. Once you’re listed on KKday, your experiences are available to travel agents, distributors, bloggers, and influencers who resell KKday’s inventory to their audiences. You can get more eyes on your listings without any extra work on your end.
  • KKday’s loyalty programme keeps travellers coming back. KKday rewards customers with points on every booking, giving them a reason to return — and when they do, your listings are right there waiting.
  • KKday’s team helps you manage the customer service load. KKday handles payment processing and traveller-facing support for all bookings made on the platform — a relief for small teams that can’t field enquiries in Mandarin at 2 am.
  • You earn credibility by association. Listing alongside major attractions and well-known brands gives smaller operators a level of visibility and legitimacy that would take much longer to build independently.
  • You can manage everything from your phone. The KKday app lets you verify reservations by QR code, check booking details, and message customers on the day of the tour without logging into a desktop portal.

And KKday doesn’t have any exclusivity requirements. You can sell on as many sites as you wish — your website, other OTAs, through partners and affiliates —while still getting all the benefits of selling on KKday. It works best as one channel in your broader distribution mix.

KKday <> Bókun Connection

Once you start selling on OTAs like KKday, you need a central booking system with channel management to keep all your reservations and availability straight. Otherwise, you’re managing every sales channel separately — which is not only tedious and time-consuming, but also puts you at risk of errors like overbookings that can lead to cancellations, poor customer experiences, and lower visibility on the OTAs you worked to get listed on.

Bókun has two solutions for this:

  • Our all-in-one tour operator software — this includes booking and channel management with all the other operational management tools you need to run your day-to-day (website builders, inventory management, CRM, automated communications, check-in tools, staff scheduling, reporting, and so on).
  • The Channel Manager— this works for teams with an existing restech system that need an intermediary to connect and manage other sales channels. It pulls all your bookings into one central calendar and pushes real-time availability updates back to your connected channels so everything stays current.

With either solution, you get access to Bókun’s KKday integration.

Once you connect KKday to Bókun, every reservation that comes through KKday lands automatically in your Bókun calendar, alongside all your other bookings. Then Bókun pushes your updated availability back to KKday. And when a cancellation happens, those slots reopen everywhere automatically. Double bookings stop being something you have to think about.

Our solutions also include a variety of other distribution tools, so you can expand across dozens of channels and win bookings from travellers worldwide.

  • We connect with 70+ global OTAs and Marketplaces — from the biggest players in the world to more niche sites tailored to specific activities and destinations. Beyond KKday, you can sell on Viator, GetYourGuide, Google Things to Do, Airbnb Experiences, Civitatis, Klook, Expedia, Trip.com, Tiqets, Headout, TourRadar, and more. Connect as many channels as you wish. There are never any caps. And as a Tripadvisor brand, we’re the #1 restech partner across the major OTAs.We were named Klook Technology Partner of the Year at Arival 2026, and we hold a Preferred Partnership with Viator (with 0% Bókun booking fees on Viator reservations), a Premium Connectivity Partnership with GetYourGuide, and an approved connectivity partnership with Google Things to Do.
  • The Bókun Marketplace features thousands of travel industry partners — travel agents, DMCs, accommodation providers like hotels and resorts, transport companies, attractions, and other operators — where you can win reseller bookings, resell others’ products for commission, or build packages together. It’s one of the largest partner networks in the industry.
  • Bókun’s Referral Tracking lets you build a totally custom affiliate network with any business or professional you want to work with — other businesses in your area, local clubs or interest groups, influencers, bloggers, tourism boards, you name it. You have complete control of this network: add as many affiliates as you wish, set commission rates with each affiliate individually, and track who brings you the most bookings.

We offer all these growth drivers at some of the industry’s lowest rates. At 1.5%, our online booking fee is a fraction of what competitors charge (3% to 8%) — and we never charge for Viator bookings or offline reservations.

Operators running multi-channel distribution through Bókun tend to see results move quickly — Venice Tours grew revenue 400% through the Bókun Marketplace, Tour Marbella now pulls 54% of bookings from Marketplace partnerships, Tasty Tours NYC grew revenue 381% after adding a new channel, and Simba Sea Trips has sustained 20% year-on-year growth since joining.

You can read more case studies here, or check out reviews to see why operators consistently rate us 4.7 stars.
