In May, we changed the way Bókun ships product. Instead of scattering updates across emails and release notes, we bundled our biggest features into one moment, showed them working live, and handed the mic to the product managers who built them. We called it Bókun Tide.

Today, Bókun Tide is back, with four new AI features for tour operators. And this edition is all about one thing: Bókun just got a whole lot smarter.

Here’s what’s new, why we built it the way we did, and where to see it all working.

What you told us after May

Many of you joined the first Tide live, and many more watched the recording. You also told us what you wanted next. A few things came up again and again:

  • «Can existing accounts use the AI Product Importer?» It was one of the most-asked questions in the May Q&A.
  • «Bookings still land everywhere.» Emails, WhatsApp messages, screenshots, phone calls. All of it needs typing into your booking system.
  • «I already use ChatGPT. Can it talk to Bókun?» More of you are running parts of your business from an AI assistant, and you want your bookings in the same place.
  • «Show me I’m still in control.» AI is welcome, as long as nothing happens without you.

So we built for exactly that.

AI booking agent: stop retyping bookings

Paste the message, forward the email, upload the screenshot or just say it. The AI booking agent reads it and drafts the booking. You review the details and click Complete booking.

It drafts one booking per chat, running through the same pricing, availability and payment engine as Quick Book. Every account also gets its own Bókun forwarding address, so a booking email can go straight from your inbox to a draft in Bókun.

Why AI, and why this way

We didn’t build a separate AI product for you to learn. We built more AI into Bókun itself, into the screens you already use every day.

Three principles shaped every feature:

  • You always confirm. The AI booking agent drafts; you complete the booking. AI Descriptions suggests; you save. Nothing is booked, changed or published without you.
  • You can always see it. Look for the Bókun AI tag. One tag, everywhere AI does the work in Bókun, so there’s never a question about what’s happening.
  • It fits how you already work. Your inbox, your WhatsApp, your website, the AI assistant you already use. Bókun meets you there, instead of asking you to change your day around it.

Why we still host it live

The best part of May wasn’t the slides. It was the Q&A. Operators asked hard, practical questions, and the people who built each feature answered them on the spot. No marketing gloss, no waiting for a support ticket.

That’s why every Bókun Tide is a live webinar, with demos from the product managers who built each feature. And it’s why the AI Product Importer for existing accounts is in this edition at all: you asked for it in May, and it went straight onto the roadmap.

Bókun Tide is our product release series. Every few months, we’ll bring the biggest new features together, show them working live, and take your questions. Never in peak season, and always shaped by what you tell us.
